2017 MARKET OVERVIEW
We'd like to wish everyone a happy and prosperous 2017!
Macquarie Commercial is now over 12 months old and we have been able to grow significantly since opening due to the loyalty and support of our valued clients. A busy 2016 saw us transact approximately $35M of industrial, commercial and retail property within Penrith, St Marys, Emu Plains and surrounding suburbs in Outer Western Sydney. Our property management portfolio also expanded greatly especially when we introduced of our unique online management system which allows both vendors and tenants to check the status of their property at any hour of any day.
With several transactions having already taken place in the opening weeks of 2017 and with several new listings (both for sale and lease) set to come to market in the coming months, we are extremely excited for what the year ahead holds. With demand still outweighing current property supply, vendors who are willing to put their asset to market are achieving some exceptional results.
While for the most part it is a “sellers’ market” there is still value in the market for savvy purchasers, especially those willing to take a gamble on assets that may require work or are located in secondary suburbs. An increase in population, residential developments and business/industry in the area, as well as the construction of the Western Sydney Airport should ensure significant growth in outer Western Sydney for the foreseeable future.
